condoms and lube

There is still no cure for HIV – but there is protection. If you enjoy fucking, condoms used with water based lube are the best way to protect you or your partner against possible HIV infection.

There is no evidence that “extra strong” condoms provide any more protection against HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections than standard condoms. However, what we do know is when condoms are used correctly with plenty of lube they are very effective at preventing infections.

There is a wide range of condoms to choose from, all of which will reduce the risk of becoming infected with or passing on HIV. Have fun finding out which one suits you best and make sure you get the right fit.

The amount of lube you use is more important than the thickness of the condom. Do not lube your cock before you put on a condom as this will increase the chance of the condom slipping off.

Re-apply the lube often as this will help prevent your condom from breaking and if you are having a long session change the condom every 30 minutes or so. Never use oil based lubes (baby oil, vaseline, olive oil, most moisturisers) as these can damage the condom causing it to split.

Lube alone (i.e. without condoms) does not provide protection from HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.
